Dakota Creek celebrates golden anniversary
Dakota Creek Industries (DCI) is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary with a public event on April 17, allowing visitors to tour part of its Anacortes shipyard. The family-owned business has made significant contributions to maritime construction, including notable projects like the research vessels named after astronauts Neil Armstrong and Sally Ride. Established in 1975, DCI has evolved from building crab boats to a diverse range of vessels, employing hundreds in the Anacortes area.
