Modern happy hour meets history at Fort Nisqually

Fort Nisqually Living History Museum unveils its Homespun Happy Hour for adults, merging 1850s culture with contemporary socializing. Scheduled for June 12, July 24, and August 21 from 6-9 p. m. , the event invites guests to engage in various crafting activities such as soap carving and leatherworking. Attendees can also enjoy tarot readings and live music from the Fort Nisqually Music Guild, enhancing the atmosphere.

A cash bar will serve locally made cider and wine, adding to the experience. Tickets are available for $28 in advance or $34 at the gate, making it accessible for those interested. The event not only promotes local artisans but also fosters community engagement and education about historical crafts. Fort Nisqually has a long-standing tradition of offering immersive historical experiences, making this event a natural extension of its mission. This summer event provides a unique opportunity to blend socializing with creativity in a historical context.
