Get Your Bao Some Bao in Thurston County New Dough Zone in Lacey

Olympia, WALocal News

Dough Zone will open its 28th location in Lacey, Washington, on June 25, 2025, marking a significant step in its expansion strategy. Founders Jason and Nancy Zhai launched the first Dough Zone in Bellevue in 2014, aiming to provide affordable, handmade dumplings. As traditional Chinese cuisine gained popularity, they expanded beyond Washington, establishing locations in California, Oregon, and Texas. Marketing manager Nancy Yun noted the unmet demand for high-quality dumplings in other states, prompting the brand's growth. The Lacey site will serve as a connection point for the growing South Sound community, where demand for authentic dishes has surged.

Each Dough Zone location maintains quality through direct oversight by the Zhais, ensuring a consistent dining experience. The restaurant will feature popular items like the Xiao Long Bao, known for its savory broth and meat. Dough Zone's commitment to authentic recipes aims to enrich the local culinary landscape in Thurston County.
