Jeffrey Zizz charged in murder of WA grandmother

Jeffrey Zizz, a handyman in Thurston County, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, kidnapping, and unlawful disposal of human remains in connection with the death of 82-year-old Marcia Norman. Zizz, 47, was initially a person of interest but became the primary suspect as detectives uncovered inconsistencies in his statements and surveillance footage of his vehicle near Norman's home around the time she went missing. Zizz had worked for Norman and reportedly developed obsessive feelings for her, having been the last person to see her before her disappearance on April 1. Authorities found Norman's remains buried under a shed on April 9, partially encased in concrete, after she was reported missing on April 5. An autopsy revealed that she had been bound and executed with a nail gun.

During their investigation, detectives found a letter at Zizz's home that detailed a burglary and sexual assault, leading to his flight from the state. Zizz was arrested in Montana for violating community custody related to a previous child molestation conviction. He is expected back in court for a review hearing and an arraignment scheduled for May 6.
