Kirkland man searching for dog allegedly stolen by date

Olympia, WALocal News

Francisco Martinez Crisanto, a Kirkland resident, is in distress after his dog, Sparkey, was allegedly stolen by a man he met on a dating app. Security footage captured the suspect walking away with Sparkey in early March, igniting a desperate search for the beloved pet. To Francisco, Sparkey is not just a dog; he is an emotional support animal who has been by his side through challenging times as a burn survivor. The incident unfolded when the suspect visited Francisco's home, claiming he missed the bus and seeking a place to stay. Francisco, perceiving the man as harmless, allowed him to spend the night, only to wake up and find both the man and Sparkey missing.

The emotional bond between Francisco and Sparkey is evident, as he recalls how the dog has been a source of comfort in his life. Now, with the house feeling empty without Sparkey, Francisco hopes the microchip implanted in his dog will lead to his safe return if taken to a veterinary clinic. He urges anyone with information to come forward and help bring his best friend home.
