Past audits revealed numerous issues with existing restrooms, including cleanliness and a lack of basic supplies, prompting city officials to prioritize these improvements. Mayor Bruce Harrell stated that these facilities are essential for ensuring all visitors have access to necessary amenities while exploring the waterfront.
