Garfield High School placed on lockdown after reported robbery at Grocery Outlet

Garfield High School was placed on lockdown Tuesday after a robbery at a nearby Grocery Outlet in Seattle. Three juveniles reportedly attempted to steal $50 worth of items while implying they had a firearm. The Seattle Police Department responded to the incident at 12:38 p. m. , and employees at the store reported the struggle that ensued.

As a precautionary measure, both Garfield and Nova High Schools were placed on lockdown while officers searched for the suspects. Police followed a track that led back to the entrance of Garfield High School, indicating the suspects may have been nearby. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during this alarming incident. Evidence was collected from the scene, and the lockdown was lifted later in the day. The Seattle Police continue to investigate the matter and are seeking to apprehend the individuals involved.
