Bremerton teacher rebuilding after devastating house fire

Anita Cryder, a dedicated teacher from Bremerton, is facing the aftermath of a devastating house fire that occurred last Thursday. While she was at work, her neighbors noticed smoke and quickly called the fire department, allowing for a prompt response. The fire left her home largely destroyed, but thanks to a dog door, her pets managed to escape unharmed. The community has rallied around Cryder and her family, providing support and care for her pets until she could return. An online fundraiser started by her son, who is a firefighter, has received significant contributions from local fire departments and co-workers.

Despite losing many cherished possessions, Cryder is thankful for the community's support and is focused on rebuilding her life. She plans to temporarily stay with her son and daughter-in-law while trying to recover any salvageable family heirlooms. The incident has highlighted the strength and compassion of the Bremerton community in times of crisis.
