The Olympia & Beyond Sports Commission, in collaboration with Olympia Orthopaedic Associates, is excited to announce that nominations for the 2025 Sports Awards are now open. This annual event seeks to honor the commitment and achievements of local athletes, coaches, and sports contributors in Thurston County. Community members can submit nominations for seven distinct awards, including categories for collegiate and high school athletes, as well as a special recognition for outstanding sports contributors. Nominations will be accepted until May 12, 2025, with winners selected by a dedicated Advisory Committee of local sports leaders. The initiative aims to celebrate the local sports community's dedication and inspire future generations.

A banquet in June will recognize all nominees and winners, further enhancing the region's reputation as a vibrant sports hub.
