World War I Centennial and Veterans Day Event to be Held in Olympia

The upcoming event in Olympia on November 11, 2018, marks a pivotal moment in history, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that concluded World War I. Hosted by the Thurston County Veterans Council and the Washington Department of Veterans Affairs, the ceremony starts at 10:30 a. m. in the Capitol Building’s Rotunda. Attendees will witness the tolling of the Bells of Peace at 11:00 a.
