Thurston County Bereavement Support Group Information

Thurston County Public Health & Social Services is offering a free Bereavement Support Group to assist families who are navigating the difficult journey of losing a pregnancy, infant, or child. The group meets on the second Thursday of every month at 412 Lilly Rd NE in Olympia, from 5:30 p. m. to 7 p. m.

It aims to provide a safe and compassionate environment for participants to share their feelings and experiences related to grief. The program acknowledges that the grieving process is highly individual and can vary in duration and intensity. By facilitating this support group, the initiative seeks to empower families and remind them that they are not alone in their healing journey. The Fetal and Infant Mortality Review program supports this initiative, emphasizing the importance of community health services. Such gatherings not only help individuals express their grief but also foster connections among participants.

This community-focused approach is vital for promoting emotional well-being and resilience in times of loss.
