A man was left unconscious after a violent assault outside a Dollar Tree in Lacey, Washington, on Thursday afternoon. Police were dispatched around 3 p. m. and found the victim injured and lying on the ground. Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect, a 39-year-old man, approached the victim and initiated the attack by kicking him in the abdomen, followed by stomping on his head.

The victim sustained severe injuries, including three broken ribs and a brain bleed, necessitating his transport to Providence St. Peter Hospital for medical care. Authorities arrested the suspect near Interstate 5, where he resisted and head-butted an officer, leading to additional charges. He is now facing serious allegations, including first-degree assault, as well as assaulting law enforcement and jail staff. This incident raises concerns about public safety and has prompted local residents to call for increased security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
