Man Dies After Being Struck by Two Vehicles in Olympia

A 56-year-old man died in a tragic accident on Martin Way in Olympia after being hit by two vehicles on Monday night. Around 11:55 p. m. , a driver traveling west noticed the man standing in the roadway but was unable to stop in time to avoid the collision. The impact from the first vehicle spun the man into another lane, where he was struck by a second westbound vehicle.

He was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. Both drivers involved remained at the scene and cooperated with police, showing no signs of impairment. This incident underscores the urgent need for improved pedestrian safety measures in urban environments. Local authorities may need to evaluate the area for potential hazards to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
