Fatal Accident on Martin Way Claims Life of 56-Year-Old Man

A tragic incident unfolded on Martin Way in Olympia, Washington, where a 56-year-old man was fatally struck by two vehicles late Monday night. The collision occurred around 11:55 p. m. when a driver heading west noticed the man standing in the road but was unable to stop in time, leading to the initial impact. The force of the first collision propelled the man into a second lane, where he was subsequently hit by another westbound vehicle.

Emergency responders rushed him to Providence St. Peter Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Both drivers remained on the scene and showed no signs of impairment, actively cooperating with police investigations. The local police, led by Lt. Paul Lower, are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to this unfortunate accident.

The community mourns the loss of life, highlighting the critical need for road safety and awareness, particularly in low-visibility conditions.
