Man assaulted and left unconscious outside area store, Lacey police say

A shocking assault occurred outside a Dollar Tree in Lacey, Washington, where a 39-year-old man was arrested for beating another man unconscious. The victim was discovered lying on the ground, having suffered three broken ribs and a brain bleed as a result of the attack. Eyewitness accounts reveal that the victim was urinating when the suspect confronted him, leading to a brutal assault involving kicks to the abdomen and stomps on the head. Police responded to the scene around 3 p. m.

and later located the suspect near Interstate 5, where he exhibited combative behavior, even head-butting an officer during his arrest. In addition to the assault on the victim, the suspect allegedly also assaulted jail staff following his detainment. He has been charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and third-degree assault of law enforcement. This incident raises serious concerns about public safety and community violence, prompting local authorities to emphasize the importance of reporting such crimes.
