This year's tour focuses on the South Capitol Neighborhood, known for its stunning architectural styles and historical significance, as it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Among the featured homes is the Baude-Meyer House, a distinctive Tudor Revival originally designed for a local barber, showcasing both charm and historical importance. Homeowners Andy and Karen Meyer reflect on their transformative journey of restoring the property, from its original eggplant purple paint to its current tasteful gray. The event aims to raise funds for the Olympia Historical Society and Bigelow House Museum, emphasizing the importance of preserving local history.
