Shelton man crashes truck, winds up on jersey barrier: cops | The Olympian

On December 6, 2024, a truck accident involving a Shelton driver left him uninjured but resulted in his vehicle becoming lodged on a jersey barrier on state Route 16 near Port Orchard, Washington. The crash occurred around 5:10 a. m. when the driver lost control and collided with the barriers. Although he was fortunate to escape without physical harm, the incident led to an environmental concern due to the spillage of approximately 80 gallons of diesel fuel.

Recovery efforts, which included a crane to safely remove the truck, were promptly executed by local authorities, helping to mitigate further risks associated with the spill. This accident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety measures and proper vehicle handling on busy highways.
