Shelton man killed in wreck identified, WA State Patrol says

Olympia, WALocal News

Levi C. Eaton, a 39-year-old Shelton resident, tragically lost his life in a car accident on December 5, 2024, after veering across the center line on state Route 3. The Washington State Patrol reported that Eaton was driving at excessive speeds when the collision occurred around 11:10 PM. His vehicle struck a northbound car carrying two men from Belfair, aged 59 and 65, who sustained injuries and were taken to St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale for treatment.

The investigation confirmed that Eaton's speed contributed to the severity of the crash, resulting in his immediate death at the scene. First responders arrived promptly but were unable to save him. This incident underscores ongoing concerns about road safety and the importance of adhering to speed limits, particularly in adverse conditions.
