With a distinguished career spanning 16 years in the corrections division of the Attorney General's Office, where he served as chief legal counsel, Lang has focused on implementing rehabilitation-centered reforms aimed at reducing recidivism rates. In his new role, he intends to promote rehabilitation and facilitate successful reintegration for individuals into society. Ferguson praised Lang as a trusted member of his leadership team and highlighted his extensive legal background in corrections.

This appointment is part of Ferguson's broader effort to revitalize leadership across nine state agencies, with Lang expressing his honor and eagerness to collaborate with the governor and dedicated staff to positively impact the state's correctional system.
