Sequoia’s Farm and Forest School will host an open house on August 5 and 6, 2025, from 10 a. m. to 1 p. m. for parents interested in outdoor education for their children aged 3.

5 to 7. Located in Olympia, WA, the school has been fully licensed as an Outdoor Nature-Based childcare program and offers hands-on learning experiences through animal care and gardening. Visitors can participate in tours, activities, and enjoy light refreshments while discovering the school's curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia model, which emphasizes social collaboration. Lead teacher Willow notes that the outdoor setting allows for a curriculum that evolves with the seasons and fosters creativity and exploration. Children engage in various activities, including tending to farm animals and participating in weekly cooking projects with produce from the garden.

The school also provides extended care options from 7 a. m. to 6 p. m. and accepts state subsidies to support families.
