Chelan County District Court and Probation offer limited time debt relief program

Leavenworth, WALocal News

Chelan County District Court and Probation are launching a two-month debt relief program in collaboration with Armada Collections, aimed at assisting individuals with unpaid fines and probation fees. This initiative, set to run from April 14 to June 14, seeks to alleviate the financial burdens faced by residents struggling with debts that are not dischargeable through bankruptcy. The previous program, offered four years ago, yielded positive results and helped many individuals clear their outstanding balances. Judges Allen Blackmon and Jonathan Volyn highlighted the court's objective to provide a manageable way for people to settle their financial obligations at significantly reduced costs. This program is particularly crucial for those with debts stemming from serious offenses, as such debts typically persist until fully paid.

By addressing these financial challenges, the court aims to help individuals regain their financial footing. To learn more about eligibility and participation, residents can contact Armada Collections or the Chelan County District Court and Probation offices directly. This initiative represents a proactive step toward ensuring community members are not hindered by financial burdens from the justice system.
