The 'Women in Powder' event at Stevens Pass, held on March 29-30, 2025, marked a remarkable growth in participation, attracting over 100 attendees compared to last year's 50. This two-day gathering celebrated women in snow sports, coinciding with International Women’s Month, and provided a space for skiers and riders of all abilities to connect. Participants had the opportunity to learn from Stevens Pass ambassadors and engage in discussions with industry experts, including panelists like Annette Diggs and Christie Burrow. Diggs, the founder of EDGE Outdoors, emphasized the importance of creating a mountain culture that feels inclusive for everyone. Burrow, as K2's first woman product designer, shared insights on improving women's performance gear, addressing design errors that have historically overlooked women's needs.

Attendee Shaquita Young expressed the significance of seeing relatable role models in the outdoor space, reinforcing the shared struggles and victories among women. The event not only focused on skill development but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration among women in the skiing industry.
