The Upper Valley Park & Recreation Service Area (PRSA) has launched a Request for Proposals (RFP) to facilitate a comprehensive recreational needs assessment for the Upper Valley community. This initiative, in conjunction with the City of Leavenworth, aims to gather vital community input to prioritize recreational needs effectively. As the Upper Valley experiences growth, understanding these priorities becomes essential for shaping the future of local recreation. The findings from the assessment will play a key role in informing a potential funding levy that is slated to be presented to voters in spring 2022. Kiah Patzkowsky, PRSA Coordinator, noted that this RFP process marks a significant step in engaging with the community on recreational priorities.

Responses to the RFP are due by May 7, 2021, inviting firms to contribute their expertise. The city has provided several downloadable resources for interested parties, including reference documents and planning materials. This proactive approach underscores the commitment of local authorities to enhance recreational services and ensure they meet the evolving needs of the community.
