The City of Leavenworth has announced a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Food Waste Reduction and Composting Pilot Program, as well as an Education & Outreach initiative. With support from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the city hopes to promote sustainable practices and engage the community in responsible food waste management. The program is designed to educate residents about minimizing waste and the benefits of composting.
