The City of Leavenworth is now accepting letters of interest for open positions on its citizen advisory boards, with a deadline of November 30, 2023. This initiative aims to enhance community representation, particularly through the newly proposed Housing Advisory Committee, which will consist of nine members, including two from the City Council. The committee seeks a diverse mix of residents, business owners, developers, and nonprofit leaders to ensure a broad perspective on housing issues. Additionally, there's one position available on the Parking Advisory Committee, with eligibility restricted to residents who have lived in the city for at least one year.
