The City of Leavenworth is actively seeking volunteers to fill two positions on the Downtown Steering Committee, which will begin its new term in May 2024. This committee is essential for overseeing the development of streetscapes and tourism facilities, ensuring alignment with the Downtown Master Plan, and enhancing the city's unique Bavarian theme. Candidates must be property owners or business operators in downtown Leavenworth, with a preference for those located outside the Front Street area. The committee evaluates and recommends changes to better support economic activity and tourism in the city’s commercial districts. Term lengths for selected members will be either one year or two years, as determined by the mayor.
