The City of Leavenworth is actively soliciting qualifications from consulting firms for the Front Street Pedestrian Plaza project, aimed at revitalizing the downtown core. This pedestrian plaza will be situated on the western portion of Front Street, between US 2 and Division Street, and is designed to harmonize with the city's charming Bavarian alpine theme. The project is expected to include a thorough site investigation, permit preparation, and various utility improvements such as water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater management. Additionally, enhancements to the existing Front Street Park and new plaza features will create a vibrant environment for both residents and visitors. The city has stated that it reserves the right to amend the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) or withdraw it entirely, regardless of the effort consultants invest in their submissions.
