Upper Valley Empty Bowls to close 2025 season with auction and soup supper

Leavenworth, WALocal News

The Upper Valley Empty Bowls event will take place on March 27, 2025, as a part of its annual fundraising campaign for the Upper Valley MEND’s Community Cupboard. The soup supper invites community members to paint bowls during specific glazing days held in January, with these bowls returned for collection at the event. Attendees will enjoy a variety of soups prepared by local restaurants, fostering a sense of community and support. An online auction featuring 21 handcrafted bowls and platters from local artists is currently live, with bids accepted until March 26. The auction pieces will be displayed in various downtown shops, enhancing local engagement.

This initiative is a part of a larger grassroots movement aimed at addressing hunger within communities worldwide. With ticket sales and auction proceeds directed to the Community Cupboard, the event embodies the spirit of giving. Everyone is encouraged to join, whether they painted a bowl or not, to support this vital cause.
