Starting February 4, 2019, Waste Management will officially begin providing garbage services to residents of Leavenworth, Washington. This transition requires no action from residents, ensuring a smooth changeover from the previous service provider. Residents can choose between three cart sizes—35, 64, or 96 gallons—with the 64-gallon cart being the default for current users. Recycling services will be offered every other Monday, with an option for residents to sign up for these services at an additional fee of $10. 98 per month.

The city has made provisions for bear-resistant carts and additional services such as bulky waste collection, catering to the diverse needs of the community. Special rates are available for low-income residents, seniors, and disabled individuals, emphasizing the city's commitment to accessibility.
