This initiative, identified as a city priority project in 2008, aims to significantly enhance local infrastructure, including the installation of new curbing, drainage systems, and pedestrian pathways. Various funding sources have made this project possible, such as a $200,000 investment from Cascade School District and a $705,000 federal grant administered by the Chelan Douglas Transportation Council. Additional financial support includes $250,000 from the Transportation Improvement Board and $537,144 from the City’s Transportation Benefit District. Engineering and project management were expertly handled by TD&H Engineering, ensuring that all improvements meet community standards.

The project is a testament to the collaborative efforts of local government and community partners to enhance public safety and accessibility. The ceremony will not only celebrate the completion of the project but also highlight the importance of community involvement in such initiatives.
