The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is undertaking this project to stabilize a slope with a history of rockfall, enhancing safety for all travelers. Initially, full stop closures will be enforced from 6 a. m. to 11:30 a.

m. , requiring motorists to expect delays of up to 20 minutes during these periods. Afterward, traffic will be managed by flaggers, with one lane open and potential delays continuing throughout the day. The stabilization work will involve rock dowels and shotcrete, which will take approximately 11 working days to complete.
