The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has announced a temporary closure of US 2 Tumwater Canyon west of Leavenworth on September 25, aimed at conducting vital pre-winter maintenance. The closure will take place from 8 a. m. to 3 p. m.

During this time, passenger vehicles will be directed to detour via Chumstick Highway, while freight traffic requiring access east of Leavenworth will need to take I-90 to US 97.
