Voters approve school levies for Cascade, Manson, and Wenatchee districts

The February 11 special election in Chelan County resulted in the successful approval of replacement levies for the Cascade, Manson, and Wenatchee school districts, demonstrating the community's strong commitment to education. Cascade School District's EP&O levy achieved approximately 67% favorability, with 2,270 ‘yes’ votes, while the Capital Levy garnered 66% approval, totaling 2,226 votes. These levies are essential for funding programs that typically receive little federal support, including athletics, special education, and unforeseen district expenses. Manson School District also secured approval for its EP&O and Capital levies, both receiving nearly 67% support, ensuring financial resources for the next three years. The Wenatchee School District's four-year EP&O levy passed with 62% approval, aiming to generate $18.

1 million in 2026 and increasing to $20. 96 million by 2029. The combined levies across districts are expected to raise substantial funds, with Cascade anticipating up to $27. 85 million over four years. The special election saw a voter turnout of 32%, indicating robust participation in critical educational funding decisions.
