Cascade High School invites community to grant student wishes with second annual giving event

Leavenworth, WALocal News

Cascade High School's Winter Wishes event invites the community to help fulfill students' holiday wishes, marking its second annual occurrence. Leadership teacher Roselyn Robison highlighted the event's heartwarming nature, emphasizing the thoughtful wishes made by students for both themselves and their friends. This year's wishes range from personal items like pizza and soccer balls to funding for drama club and college expenses. Under the leadership of students Thayer Robison and Micah Wilder, the event has been improved based on feedback from last year's pilot. Each Leadership class student is tasked with fulfilling at least one wish, collaborating with local businesses to maximize the number of wishes granted.

Community members can contribute by purchasing gifts from the wish list and delivering them to the school by December 15. The gifts will be distributed to students between December 15 and 19, culminating in a larger reveal event on December 19. The event not only brings joy to students but also strengthens community bonds through collective giving.
