Cascade School District names new IT Director

Cascade School District appointed David Belmont as its new IT Director, effective early January. Belmont, who has over 12 years of IT experience, advocates for a people-first approach, focusing on aligning technology with the needs of users. He believes that technology should simplify life, emphasizing the importance of listening to stakeholders. Superintendent Dr. Tracey Edou welcomed Belmont, expressing excitement about his potential to enhance IT services for students and staff.

Belmont's role encompasses managing all aspects of technology operations in the district, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, device management, and user support. Previously, Belmont lived in Plain with his wife and two children, demonstrating his local ties. The appointment signals the district's commitment to advancing its technological capabilities. Belmont’s experience positions him well to lead the district's IT initiatives effectively.
