NCW Tech Alliance honors winners at 24th Annual Innovator Awards

The Wenatchee Convention Center hosted over 400 attendees for the 24th Annual Innovator Awards Luncheon on November 4, celebrating achievements in technology and education. NCW Tech Alliance organized the event to underscore the region's commitment to innovation. Gerardo Guerrero from Quincy High School was awarded K–12 Future Technology Leader of the Year for creating a video game and mentoring younger students. STEM College Innovators of the Year honors went to Dillon Cornelius and Juan Martinez for their work on a control system for Dryden Dam, bridging academic learning with practical application. Lindsay Groce from Big Bend Community College received the STEM Champion of the Year award for her efforts in expanding access to science education.

Bigfoot Communications was recognized as Newcomer in Technology for enhancing broadband access on tribal lands. Colleen Kerr from Microsoft delivered the keynote address, discussing how artificial intelligence can foster opportunity. Dr. Sue Kane of NCW Tech Alliance noted that community engagement is essential for technology to have a meaningful impact.
