Cascade Medical to host free CPR classes in 2026

Leavenworth, WALocal News

Cascade Medical’s Emergency Medical Services will conduct three free CPR classes in 2026 at the Leavenworth Fire Station Community Room. The initial class is scheduled for January 28, followed by sessions on April 22 and September 30. These classes will teach participants essential CPR techniques that can double or triple survival chances during cardiac emergencies. Participants will also receive training on using automated external defibrillators (AEDs), which are vital in resuscitating individuals whose hearts have stopped. A map shows nearly 50 AEDs strategically placed in the Upper Valley, with almost 30 installed in Leavenworth through a community project.

Cascade Medical Foundation is actively fundraising to acquire additional AEDs, aiming to purchase at least two more by early next year. Donations can be made through the Give NCW campaign, which runs from Thanksgiving to December 31. This initiative not only promotes life-saving skills but also enhances community preparedness in emergencies.
