Cascade Medical Foundation receives grant for cardiac monitoring
Cascade Medical Foundation has been awarded a $2,500 grant to enhance its Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) program, contributing to a total of $70,590 raised for a new cardiac monitor. This essential device will allow clinicians to monitor heart rates, blood pressure, and pulse for patients receiving in-home post-hospital care. The grant was provided through the Community Health Partnership Fund, which aims to improve health and address social determinants of health in four counties. Rich Adamson, Chairman of CMF, thanked Confluence Health and Wenatchee Valley Medical Group for their generous support. The cardiac monitor will include advanced features such as telehealth capabilities, ultrasound, and a video laryngoscope.
Last year, a $10,000 grant from the same fund helped purchase the MIH vehicle. CMF's mission focuses on enhancing healthcare delivery in the community, having funded over $2 million in equipment since its inception in 1992. This initiative highlights the ongoing commitment to improving patient care in rural areas.
