Leavenworth to celebrate Da de los Muertos with dance, music and tradition

Leavenworth's Día de Muertos festival, scheduled for Nov. 1, celebrates culture and tradition at Icicle Creek Center for the Arts. Organized by Norma Ramirez of Danzas Multiculturales, the event features a mix of free and ticketed activities. Free events will run from 4 p. m.

to 6:30 p. m. , including music and a Katrina Parade, while ticketed performances by the dance company will take place at 1:30 p. m. and 7 p.

m. Food from local vendors will be available for purchase, enhancing the festive atmosphere. Danzas Multiculturales focuses on traditional Mexican folk dances and has a strong local presence in central Washington.
