Tierra Learning Center to open groomed Nordic track this winter

Tierra Learning Center will open a groomed Nordic ski track this winter, serving both skate and classic skiing enthusiasts. The 1. 6-kilometer loop, located on its hay fields, will be maintained daily once snow begins to accumulate. The Field Loop features a flat terrain with a designated skate lane and classic tracks, offering scenic views of Tierra from the valley. In addition, the Bridge Trail will be accessible for snowshoeing and walking, with some areas requiring maneuvering.

Dogs are permitted on the Bridge Trail, but owners must ensure they are controlled and waste is disposed of properly. Tierra Learning Center, situated in Sunitsch Canyon, provides services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, emphasizing respect for human rights and dignity. The center also operates an organic farm as part of its environmental stewardship efforts. Season passes for skiing are available for $100, while day passes can be bought for $10.
