The Icicle Fund is revitalizing Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort in Leavenworth, Washington, to honor the vision of its late founder, Harriet Bullitt. The fund, which took ownership in 2019, has partnered with Columbia Hospitality to manage resort operations and enhance community engagement. Phil Lacey, Executive Director of the Icicle Fund, emphasized the importance of local partnerships to create a collaborative community center. New General Manager Gemma Fortier, who previously helped revive Hotel Windrow, plans to build strong local connections and support. The resort also welcomes Lupine Market & Café, opening in the space previously occupied by O'Grady's Pantry, offering a distinct atmosphere for community interaction.

Lindsey Dahlstrom, co-owner of the café, aims to create a space that encourages human connection. These initiatives reflect a commitment to adapting Bullitt's vision to a changing hospitality landscape while maintaining local significance. The resort's transformation represents a significant step towards revitalizing its mission and fostering community spirit.
