Leavenworth, WALocal News

The Icicle Creek Center for the Arts (ICCA) is set to launch its Visiting Artist Series for the 2025-2026 season, showcasing a variety of performing artists from the Pacific Northwest. This initiative aims to break down barriers to arts access by providing free artist visits to schools, where students can engage directly with the creative processes. Each residency culminates in a public performance at ICCA’s Snowy Owl Theater, with ticket proceeds supporting arts programming for the community. The series begins on September 26 with the Alchemy Tap Project, known for its innovative tap dance performances. Following this, the Seattle jazz trio Duende Libre will perform on October 24, blending jazz with rhythms from Latin America and Africa.

Additionally, Jarabe Mexicano will deliver a fusion of musical styles on December 11 and 12. A new interactive fundraiser, Give a Hoot - Art Walk, will take place on October 11, further supporting arts education initiatives. This series highlights the importance of cultural exchange and community engagement through artistic collaboration.
