ARC Architects selected for downtown Leavenworth parking garage project

Leavenworth, WALocal News

Leavenworth has appointed ARC Architects to spearhead the Downtown Parking Garage Feasibility and Design project, a critical move to improve local parking solutions. The selection followed a competitive Request for Qualifications process that attracted several firms. Matthew Selby, the city administrator, highlighted the anticipated benefits of sustainable solutions for alleviating congestion and enhancing community experience. The project will assess potential locations, aesthetics, environmental impacts, and economic feasibility for the parking structure. ARC Architects plans to incorporate Bavarian design features, aligning with Leavenworth’s cultural identity.

The initiative is part of the city’s broader strategy to enhance infrastructure and visitor access in the downtown area. City staff and ARC will soon begin collecting survey data and conducting a feasibility study. This collaboration aims to address the specific parking challenges faced by a city that attracts significant tourist visitation.
