Wildly Caring Hockey Fights Cancer night raises funds for local patients

The Wenatchee Wild raised $16,841. 26 for the EASE Cancer Foundation during their "Hockey Fights Cancer" event on July 2. The foundation, located in Cashmere, supports cancer survivors and their caregivers in North Central Washington with programs and resources aimed at enhancing their quality of life. Over the past four seasons, the partnership has generated $58,902. 05, showcasing strong community involvement.

This year’s event attracted 3,201 fans, reflecting a 10% increase in attendance from the previous season. Gretchen Littler, the Wild's director of sales and marketing, expressed gratitude for the partnership, stating it helps raise awareness of the foundation's mission. Confluence Health contributes significantly, with staff volunteering each year to support the event. Their ongoing commitment emphasizes the community's dedication to assisting those affected by cancer. Spencer Green from Confluence Health highlighted the importance of community support in the fight against cancer.
