Cruz Martinez, a Cascade High School graduate, received the Student Leadership Award from the Washington Association of School Administrators for his exemplary leadership in promoting inclusivity and equity. As senior class president, he took significant steps to address the lack of diversity within the associated student body, ensuring that all students felt represented and heard. His leadership was acknowledged through three nominations, showcasing the respect he earned from peers and educators. Cascade School District Superintendent Tracey Edou emphasized Martinez's strong nomination, which reflected his commitment to making a positive impact in his community. Graduating with a perfect 4.

0 GPA, he also earned 53 college credits and nine scholarships, reflecting his academic dedication. In addition to his leadership role, he participated in various extracurricular activities, including the MEChA club and state tournaments in sports. Martinez aims to attend the University of Washington to study pre-medicine, aspiring to become a dermatologist.
