Additionally, Olympia-Tumwater ranked seventh nationally for one-year wage growth, with a 9. 6% increase from 2022 to 2023, showcasing its thriving labor market. Despite these economic successes, the region grapples with severe housing affordability challenges, being ranked second to last among Tier 1 cities in that category.
