On October 22, Christoffer Noel Pearson, a 41-year-old patient at Telecare Triage in Tumwater, was arrested for allegedly assaulting staff during a discharge discussion. The Thurston County Sheriff's Office report details that Pearson attacked an employee, delivering multiple strikes before pinning him in a corner and kneeing him in the ribs. Staff members intervened to rescue the injured employee, who required evaluation for potential rib injuries. While attempting to escort Pearson to a secure holding room, he resisted and struck another staff member in the head. Witnesses reported Pearson's agitation following a phone call, with one noting he broke a phone shortly before the incident.

Four staff members participated in securing Pearson during the confrontation, highlighting the risks staff face in behavioral health settings.
