Tumwater, WALocal News

A recent survey conducted by the City of Tumwater revealed that 95% of residents rated their quality of life as “somewhat” or “very” good, consistent with trends in other Washington cities. Fire and emergency medical services received the highest satisfaction ratings, with 90% of respondents expressing contentment. In contrast, only 48% were satisfied with the city's response to homelessness, making it the lowest-rated service. The survey, conducted with 300 participants, aimed to assess satisfaction and prioritize community needs. High-quality drinking water and fire services emerged as urgent issues for 78% of respondents.

Residents earning $50,000 or less reported lower satisfaction levels, with only 86% rating their quality of life positively. The results will provide baseline data for future surveys. DHM Research ensured the sample reflected the city's demographics to maintain statistical validity.
