Tumwater, WALocal News

The Timberland Regional Library in Tumwater will host a grand reopening on June 28 after undergoing renovations since December 2024. The updates aim to modernize the facility and enhance the community's library experience, including a new children's area and improved accessibility features. The event will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a. m. , followed by guided tours and various activities for attendees.

To prepare for the reopening, the library has closed its TRL Service Center, transitioning staff and resources back to the main building. This renovation is part of a broader effort to refresh public spaces and better meet community needs. Patrons have been utilizing limited services since January, when the library first reopened on a restricted basis. The project reflects significant investment in local infrastructure, demonstrating a commitment to enriching community resources. Visitors can expect a vibrant, engaging environment with updated design elements like a colorful chandelier and a pillowed play area.
