Black Hills High School Class of 2025 graduates

The Black Hills High School Class of 2025 graduated on June 5 at the Hal and Inge Marcus Pavilion at Saint Martin's University. Principal Dave Myers welcomed attendees and initiated the ceremony with the traditional "Pomp and Circumstance," followed by performances from the school bands. Student speakers Lorena Cayo Slaughter and Krista Skinner shared heartfelt reflections and encouragement for their peers. Faculty speaker Ayn Gore inspired students with her personal story of perseverance in earning her degree later in life. Superintendent Kevin Bogatin presented the graduates, who received their diplomas amid cheers from family and friends.

Senior Class President Logan Larson and Vice President Ella Goheen led the ceremonial turning of the tassels, symbolizing their transition to graduates. The evening concluded with a joyful recessional to "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield, celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2025. This graduation ceremony underscores the importance of education and resilience in the face of challenges.

This initiative reflects collaboration with Olympia and extends the interlocal agreement through 2028.
